What’s cooking goodlookin?
Tired of those ancient pieces of clothing lying around in your closet, but cant get rid of them?
Ill help you out a bit,a technique to revamp that old piece of junk!
Here’s how I did it 😀
Things you’ll need :
1.An old pair of shoes or a bag.
This old thing has been in my closet for 9 years!
2.Glitter(of your choice). I chose gold.
3.A sponge brush
4. Fevicol or Mod Podge
1.Mask the areas of the product you wish NOT to apply glitter on.I was too lazy to do that though, but I recommend you do it if you don’t want a mess 😛
2.Then,coat the product with a layer of fevicol.
3.Now tip over the glitter onto the fevicol.
4.After there’s a layer of glitter over the entire area, mix fevicol and glitter (approximately in the proportion 1:3 fevicol by glitter).
5.Repeat step four till you are satisfied with the layers.
6.Finally,top coat with a thin layer of fevicol.
And you’re done!
Since I wanted to glam up the bag a little more,I chose to stud the handle with gold 1.2 centimeter pyrimids. You can purchase these on ebay ,mine are from UK.
This is what the stud looks like
This is the back, with two bendable ends, that are pressed inwards in order to clasp.
Pierce two holes with the help of a needle for the bends to go in to the bag.
Press the ends. And this is what it looks like.
Stud around as much as you like.I put them at a gap.
Here’s an old pair of boots, with silver glitter!
